2013 CSA Sign Up Open Monday, January 14th

Happy New Year! We're back from our German vacation and we're getting back to work. The 2013 CSA sign up will be open by Monday, January 14th! Until then, the basics are this:
  • The Spring CSA will begin early April and run for 16 weeks through July.
  • We are offering three share size options: large ($480), regular ($320) and small ($200).
  • We will offer three pick up locations: the farm, Western Wake Farmers' Market and Five Points (1911 Bernard Street) in Raleigh.

  1. Does the share $ amount (total, i.e. $480) cover us for the whole year? Meaning, we pay $480 and then receive our weekly CSA basket weekly for 16 weeks?

Is there a possibility to work with you at the CSA for a discount?

    Thank you!

  2. Hi Patrice,

We offer three CSA options. Our Large Share is a suitable amount of produce for a large household of 4+ people, or a couple of hungry vegetarians, to eat for a week. Our Regular Share is a suitable amount of produce for a small household of 1 to 3 people, or 1 hungry vegetarian, to eat for a week. Our Small Share is the same size as the regular share, but the pick ups are every other week rather than weekly. New this year, we are offering a 5% discount for folks who would like to pay for their Spring and Fall shares in full early in the year.
So this is what it would be for the whole year (20 weeks total; 1 weeks for the spring and 14 weeks for the fall):
Large Spring & Fall Share - $855 (5% discount from the normal $900 price for paying in full)
Regular Spring & Fall Share - $570 (5% discount from the normal $600 price for paying in full)
Small Spring & Fall Share - $356.25 (5% discount from the normal $375 price for paying in full)

We do offer discounted options (e.g., waive payment plan fee, late fee and new member fee) for folks with limited incomes. We have, on occasion, offered work shares (discount on the price for working on the farm). We are actually looking for someone to vend our produce for us at the Clayton Market and would definitely be interested in a work/food barter situation. We might also be able to work something else out. If you would like to speak more in detail about this, please email me at InGoodHeartFarmNC@gmail.com.

    Best,
    Patricia
